At around 5:20 PM today, firefighters from Los Angeles City Fire, Los Angeles County Fire, US Forest Service, and other assisting agencies responded to the 12600 block of Big Tujunga Canyon Road for a reported brush fire. Upon arrival, there was smoke showing on nearby fire cameras. Crews arrived on scene and reported 5-7 acres running up the hill, and began fire attack from the ground and air. The fire burned to 25 acres, and forward progress has been stopped at 7:12 PM. Crews continue to surround the fire perimeter with containment lines, and will remain on scene for an extended period of time.
