View Fire Burns 14 Acres Thousand Oaks

At around 2 PM this afternoon, the Ventura County Fire Department responded to a reported vegetation fire in the area of 1100 Arroyo View Street, In Thousand Oaks, CA. First arriving units reported 1 acre burning on the hillside, near homes. The fire was quickly spreading across the hillside, and nearby homes were threatened, which prompted evacuations in the area. The fire was held at 14 acres thanks to efforts from firefighters from the ground and air. Currently, forward progression of the fire has been stopped and crews are working on containing the fire all around.
