Just before 2PM VCFD received reports of a brush fire to the rear of 2801 Sharp Rd. Before firefighters arrived smoke could be seen a mile away, quickly when VCFD resources arrived they quickly upgraded the fire to a 2nd alarm prompting multiple engines and helitankers to respond to the incident. The fire is currently mapped at around 133 Acres A firefighter was also transported to a local area hospital after suffering heat related injuries.
