At approximately 2:12 Am a Mercedes SUV vehicle crashed into a parked 18 wheeler at 6710 N Variel Ave in Woodland Hills. The 18 wheeler was parked in the turn lane on Varial outside of an apartment complex. The driver of the mercedes was pinned in under the rear of the trailer. LAFD arrived on scene and extricated the patient from the vehicle . Lafd used their engine to pull the vehicle back to be able to make access to the driver. Urban Search and Resuce arrived onscene to help extricate the vehicle. The driver was transported to the hospital via LAFD RA72 in critical condition. LAPD is on scene investigating the cause of the crash.
