Just before 6:00PM Venture Fire Department & CHP Ventura responded to a reported water rescue of a single male under the bridge of the 101 & main stuck in between the pillars of the bridge. Due to the conditions, if the male transient moved it would have caused him to get swept up by heavy moving water under the bridge.
After approximately one hour at 7:00PM firefighters successfully lifted the male transient out of the flooded waters. He was later transported by AMR to VCMC for unknown injuries.
