At around 7:55pm tonight LAPD responded to an assault with deadly weapon call at 23537 Calabasas Road. Per a witness onscene, the suspect had smashed a wine bottle on someone’s head outside of the CVS. He then grabbed a machete and was swinging it at people. A man in a white truck was assaulted by the man, and than the suspect took off. LAPD responded and found the man inside the patio of the Sage Brush Cantina. At this point an officer involved shooting took place. At this time LAPD is investigating the situation and there are no further details.
