At 9:06pm today, a two vehicle traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Platt Ave and Vanowen St. One vehicle collided into a building after hitting another in the intersection. One elderly female in her 70s was extricated from the vehicle that collided into the building, with unknown injuries. She was transported via LAFD to the hospital. At the time of the accident, a MMA sparing class was practicing inside affected building, when they saw it heading towards them. They observed the crash but no one in the class was injured. This intersection has had multiple accidents occur this year. The cause of the collision is unknown, and LAPD is investigating.
