Car Fire on 101 Freeway Spreads to Brush in Thousand Oaks

At 3:59am a report of a car fire on the 101 was called in. CHP arrived on scene to find a vehicle fully engulfed in flames near the Moorpark Road Exit. The fire quickly spread to the brush and caught some trees on fires. VCFD quickly knocked down the fire and kept it from spreading further into the brush.
