At 9:40 PM a VCSO deputy attempted to stop an older model Chevy Suburban SUV for making an illegal U-Turn in Thousand Oaks. Upon attempting a traffic stop the vehicle failed to yield prompting a pursuit that reached upwards of 90 MPH on freeways before coming to a stop in Tarzana on Tampa Ave underneath the 101 freeway. The suspect was pit maneuvered by nearby CHP units in the area where he attempted to flee on foot before being tackled to the ground.
No other information was available at this time while VCSO and CHP West Valley handles the arrest.
