At 11:01 PM at Vanowen and Platt in West Hills a vehicle was driving through the intersection when it was struck by another vehicle making a left-hand turn. The vehicles collided in the intersection leaving pieces of the cars all over the street. One of the vehicles came to a stop by hitting a fire hydrant. Luckily the impact wasn’t strong enough to knock it over. The drivers of the vehicles quickly called 911 And LAPD and LAFD arrived on scene shortly after. They treated the patients for minor injuries, but declined transportation to the hospital. This intersection is a very common place for traffic collisions. LAPD topanga division is currently investigating the accident. The area is currently blocked off for an unknown amount of time until traffic units and trucks arrive on scene. 6-25-2024
