A major structure fire erupted at a single-family home in Reseda on Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters arrived at the one-story dwelling to find it fully engulfed in flames. Initial efforts to combat the blaze were met with significant challenges due to extreme hoarding conditions inside the home. The excessive storage throughout the property severely hampered access, making it difficult for firefighters to reach key areas and extinguish the fire.
As the situation escalated, the Incident Commander requested additional resources, ultimately deploying 16 fire companies to the scene. The complex and hazardous conditions forced a shift from an offensive attack to a defensive operation, with firefighters working to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring homes. Two patients have been associated with this incident, though their conditions remain unconfirmed at this time. Despite the difficult circumstances, no further injuries were reported.
