At approximately 1:53pm Simi Valley Police responded to a call on Big Springs in Simi Valley. There were two k9 dogs fighting, and the owners were trying to pull the dogs apart. During the altercation one of the owners of the dogs had a medical emergency. VCFD arrived and the patient succumbed to their injuries. One of the 2 dogs passed away during the incident. The area will be closed until the Ventura County medical examiner arrives.
