At approximately 12:04 PM, a black Tesla crashed into a cinderblock wall behind the Baskin-Robbins in Canoga Park. The vehicle went through the wall hitting a gas line which quickly prompted an evacuation order for the apartment complex that was on the other side of the wall. LAPD quickly evacuated the complex and neighboring businesses due to the gas leak. LAFD filled out the assignment as a physical rescue since a patient was trapped inside the vehicle. They were able to extricate the patient and safely transport them to the hospital. LAFD requested building and safety plus the gas company to shut off the gas leak.
